RCG
- A short History
The
company started as MDS - Microcomputer Data Systems
in Cherry Hill, New Jersey in 1982. At that time,
the four-person team's purpose was to provide design,
programming, deployment, and eductional services for
microcomputer systems based on CP/M and MP/M operating
systems.
The company
relocated to Connecticut and was re-incorporated ast
RCG - The Roomberg Consulting Group, Inc., in 1991.
Serving clients that included PHH Corporation,
Fuji Medical Systems, Frasier Paper, Dyanon Inc., and
Dyntatec, the team grew to more than a dozen consultants
over the next five years.
In 1995,
RCG founder Leon Roomberg joined Marketing Communication Systems, Ivyland, PA,
as
Director, of Information Services of a new corporate division. Financial services clients including Resource One Mortgage, Ameriquest Mortgage, AIG, and Fortis Insurance.
Leon managed staff of 3 who expanded to 25 over seven years. He managed projects of $500,000 to $1,000,000.
Annual project revenues by 2002 grew to $14 million.
In
2011, after management and project management roles
serving Mark Systems and Radian corporations, Leon joined
ALC where he managed the first large PCI remediation
projects described on our home page.
And the
rest, as they say, is history.
